About Real Estate “Staging”
The home that you live in, and the one that you present for sale, are 2 different things. To gain an edge in the marketplace you must be priced right and look better than the competition. Home staging is a unique technique of arranging furniture, artwork, accessories, etc., with a feeling of emotional warmth that will appeal to the widest range of people. “Setting the scene” is critical in marketing properties. Potential buyers need to be able to imagine themselves living in the house and not be distracted by the owners "stuff." The goal of staging is to get the house sold at the best price in the least amount of time. Look at your home through the buyer's eyes. Would you try to sell your car without having it detailed?
What is Redesign?
Redesign is the art of using what people already have to make their homes look beautiful. You may be familiar with this concept if you watch HGTV. Typically a redesigner rearranges your furniture and then “shops” other areas of your home to create a whole new look in the room being “madeover”. Sometimes pillows, plants, etc. are all that need to be purchased.
Redesign vs. Traditional designers
Traditional interior designers usually purchase all new decor and furniture which may result in expenditures over your budget. Redesigners help you achieve your goals, involve you in the process, and do it in one day on your own budget!
