Since Ken and I wanted to be hands-on throughout the process, Penny took us to several showrooms in Charlotte and in High Point. Her game plan utilized our time sensibly, kept us appropriately involved with the overall design and on target budget-wise.
One area where Penny was most valuable was with the kitchen remodeling. With minor alterations to the existing cabinets, everything else was upgraded, from granite countertops and limestone backsplash to additional lighting and all new state-of-the-art stainless steel appliances. She managed the project and brought in a well qualified team to execute everything to our satisfaction. She served as our liaison to the contractor providing us with daily progress reports, managing scheduling, and resolving issues as they arose.
Since we both love jazz, Penny collaborated with artists Rosalia and Carlos to transform our powder room into an intimate jazz club scene. They incorporated images of sheet music with our favorite jazz club, The Blue Note in NYC. It was masterfully executed with a sentimental touch. Our friends and family get a real kick out of it.
We unequivocally recommend Penny for all your interior design needs. (In fact, she's working on another project for us now.) She will work diligently to manage your design project beautifully and in a timely manner.
