Staging is the process of preparing a home for the market by de-personalizing, de-cluttering, and neutralizing it. This ensures the home will appeal to the broadest range of potential buyers and result in a quick sale for top dollar for you, the client. Staging may require the purchase or renting of furniture and accessories.
We can re-design your living space to give it an updated and refreshed decor without the expense of a full decorating project. This also involves decluttering, but is different than staging in that it personalizes your home, using your favorite collections, colors, etc.. It may require removing, re-arranging and re-purposing furniture and accessories for best effect and to allow for optimum traffic flow.
In both staging and re-design we use the client's furniture and accessories when appropriate.
Services
Both Home Staging and Re-design services involve a three step process.
1. Consultation......a visit to your home to evaluate your needs. We will walk through your home, room by room, noting all the recommendations. We will also assess your curb appeal. For homes that are going on the market, 'before' photos will be taken at this time. A written report of all the recommended changes will be provided to the client within 48 hrs in most cases. This will cost $180 for homes up to 2500 sq.ft. and typically takes up to 2 hours.
2. The work...this is where 'do-it-yourself-ers' may want to save some money. For an hourly rate, we can help you with de-cluttering, organizing, painting, and minor repairs.
3. Showcasing the home....this is the final step, when all the recommended repairs and changes mentioned in step two have been completed. We will 'dress' your home using our proven techniques, to make your home stand out against the competition (if you are selling). If you are staging to live, you will not be disappointed with the results... your home will be organized, de-cluttered, and up-dated. Showcasing involves the re-arranging and possible removal of furniture and accessories, the hanging of art, window dressing, the rental /purchase and placement of additional furniture/accessories, etc. For home staging, 'after' photos will be taken and provided to the client or realtor for the MLS listing. All this will generally cost between $400 and $800, depending on the size of the home and the time needed to complete. A more accurate quote will be given after the consultation if desired.
