    Suzanne Furst Interiors

Established in 1987, Suzanne Furst Interiors is a Los Angeles-based award-winning interior design company, with a special focus on residential and high-end kitchens and baths, as well as small businesses and home offices.

Well-known for her unique ability to create high style living spaces which are fully integrated with modern technology, Mrs. Furst recently decorated a Palos Verdes home which was a winner of the 2008 American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) Design Competition for a Residential Project over 5,000 sq ft. Her design was published in 'California Homes' magazine.

In the more than 22 years in which Mrs. Furst has worked on interior design projects, her goal has always been to exceed her clients' expectations. She seeks to create design that inspires and changes her clients' lives for the better, not only on a visual level, but in a way that uplifts them on an emotional level.

She also promotes and practices ecological design by introducing clients to green and nontoxic décor, and integrating sustainable products into their home environment. She believes that the sophisticated, modern, 'keep it simple' aesthetic is the perfect metaphor for 'keep it sustainable.' As a responsible designer, she also seeks to motivate manufacturers to produce fabric, wallcoverings and furniture using sustainable materials.

Priding herself in the vast array of strong professional relationships which she has cultivated, Mrs. Furst works efficiently and effectively with the entire design team, and brings style and sophistication to every project. She is well-versed in all areas of design, including space planning, dramatic lighting, architectural detailing, high end kitchens and baths. She has worked in all vernaculars of style, from Old World to Traditional, Spanish, Mediterranean, Pan-Asian, Art Deco, Retro-Modern, Transitional and Contemporary.

Suzanne has made television appearances on HGTV Designer's Challenge and Style Network. Her work has been published on the front page of the Los Angeles Times Home Section ("Investing on the Inside," May 22, 2010), 'Angeleno' magazine, '90210 Magazine' of Beverly Hills, 'California Homes,' 'Elle Decor' "Art and Living," 'Los Angeles Magazine', 'Los Angeles Home & Decor Magazine', 'and 'Southern California Home and Outdoor Magazine'. She has also appeared in books including '100 Designers' Favorite Rooms and Spectacular Homes of California'.

Highly involved in community work, Mrs. Furst serves on the Board of Friends of Greystone for the City of Beverly Hills in an effort to restore and refurbish the mansion and park for public use, and was the Creator and Founding Chair of Beverly Hills Garden and Design Showcase House at Greystone Mansion.

Most recently, Suzanne has completed the interiors for the Charles Cobb Apartments, a permanent housing facility for the homeless in downtown Los Angeles. Her innovative design, which uses color and warmth for a high-end look, raises residents' self-esteem and inspires them to reintegrate back into society. This groundbreaking project has proven very successful and has been covered in various publications.

As a past President and Board Member for many years of ASID Los Angeles, she created many new educational opportunities for the design community. She founded the ASID/LA Design Trade Expo held at the LA Mart for four years, and has served as a panelist at educational programs for interior design at the LA Mart and the Pacific Design Center.

Suzanne Furst was born and raised in New York City before transplanting herself in California. She received her education from UCLA Interior Design Extension. She currently resides on the Westside, with a second home in Malibu, California. Suzanne Furst loves art and architecture and travels the world in search of design inspiration.
